I'm Alisha!! I'm born and raised in North Carolina. I have the sweetest little family and I'm a mama to our daughter, Layla Mae.
I've had a camera glued to my hand since I was a little girl. I definitely think I got it from my Grandma Virginia because she always had tons of albums and photos to look at. I always love going to her house and seeing all the photos around her house from over the years. I went to school for nursing but ended up changing my major to Studio Art and Photography. I realized it was my passion and I knew it was something I wanted to do for the long run.
Some fun facts about me....
- I'm a huge Harry Potter fan (Hufflepuff here).
- I snort when I laugh!
- I love to read and I have to carry a book everywhere I go.
- I've been to Ireland the day after I graduated from UNCW and stayed for a month.
Do you shoot destination weddings?
I do!! I absolutely LOVE to travel so I'm always down for a destination wedding! I've been to a few different states for weddings. To be able to shoot somewhere completely different, gets my creative juices flowing!
Will there be a second shooter?
Yes there will be. I have done plenty of weddings by myself but I love having a second shooter with me. I want to be able to capture every aspect of your big day!
How far in advance should we book?
For weddings, I usually book almost a year out, so once you know your date, contact me immediately! I book weddings pretty fast and only have a limited number of them!
For regular sessions, you can book 2-3 weeks out! I will let you know what dates I have available!
How do we book you?
It's so easy! Fill out the contact sheet or email me! We will then talk about what kind of session you are looking for and then we can pick a date. Once we pick a date, then we can move forward with a retainer fee to secure your date.
What is the turn around time to receive photos?
For regular portrait sessions, I say 2 weeks but I usually get them done quicker. For weddings, it's 6-8 weeks but lately, I've been getting them done a lot faster. I just like to give myself plenty of time to finish them just in case I'm swamped.
